Brenda Bjarnason graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Design with a Bachelor of Interior Design, Honours where her academic achievements included the Thesis Prize, Dean’s Honour List and the Alumni Scholarship. Following graduation, Brenda firmly established her career with Ove Design in Montreal. In 1985, she became an associate and opened Ove Design Interior’s Toronto office. Bjarnason + Associates Interiors Inc. was founded in 1988 and was re-named Bjarnason Design Inc. in 2017. Brenda Bjarnason’s design experience encompasses corporate office design, non-profit and arts organizations, private residences, condominium projects, community facilities including family drop-in and youth centres, retirement communities, nursing homes, health care, retail, and hospitality.
